Liking the area, Gerald soon moved the family to Lewiston, where he resided for the remainder of his life, continuing to drill domestic and irrigation wells. He was always thinking of new innovations and as a result he owns many patents, including one for the Underground Data Storage and a carbide drill bit which is used in today’s water and oil drilling industry.
